“Rip” is a flashy 4 year old homebred stallion by Rotspon (Hanoverian), with an exceptional brain. Rip is a true gentleman for being a stallion. He is quiet and well-mannered in nature which makes him rideable and straightforward to train. He is still growing, we expect him to mature around 16 hands, maybe even a little taller. Lots of work has been put into his development since birth, so he is very polite and “user friendly” on the ground. Stands for farrier, loads, and ties. Rip has a lovely trot and canter, plus a powerful, round jump. Based on his athleticism and willingness to learn, Rip would shine in eventing, dressage, or hunters. He hacks out alone in a big grass field, jumps around small courses, and is very responsive to the aids. Junior and amateur friendly. Rip Tide is a son of Rotspon, one of the most influential Hanoverian sires of his generation — Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2017, winner of the 1998 stallion performance test, and a Celle state stud stallion until his retirement in 2021. His pedigree reads as a record of Hanoverian breeding itself: Rubinstein I over a mare by Argentan I, with Pik Bube I and Wendekreis behind.
With Rotspon's passing in 2023, Rip inherits his legacy — the same temperament, rideability, and quality of movement that made his sire so widely sought. Rip remains a stallion to preserve Rotspon's bloodlines in the United States.
